The Brute is a close-quarters DPS build that specializes in very high burst damage, rapidly firing through abilities from the Blunderbuss then switching to Warhammer to stun the enemy and land massively damaging heavy attacks.

This build excels at doing large amounts of damage in a small time-window, and also provides important CC and Rend for your team via the Warhammer. By utilizing the lightning damage conversion and damage boost that Mjolnir brings, combined with 15% extra elemental damage from 150 Intelligence and extra lightning damage from your gear perks, both the Warhammer and Blunderbuss are capable of producing huge damage numbers!

Brute Build Pros:

• Warhammer provides multiple rends via Armor Breaker and Sundering Shockwave, allowing you and your team to do more damage to the enemy

• Provides important anti-heal for Nature mutations, and Mjolnir’s Spark perk allows Gavel to apply a 30% weaken, reducing the damage enemies will do

• Capable of doing tens of thousands of damage in seconds, which is useful for certain boss mechanics, like Neishatun’s orbs in Tempest's Heart

Brute Build Cons:

• This build does most of its damage via abilities. Its left-click damage is less impressive, so refreshing and cooldown reduction is a must

• Warhammer is a commonly-used weapon for Tanks, and it’s debuffs will not stack with your Tank's

• The Blunderbuss is very ammo-hungry and you’ll likely go through 800+ Orichalcum Cartridges during 1 expedition
